Sojung Lee is a classical pianist, chamber musician, and arranger of hymns and church music. With a career centered on expressive performance and collaboration, she brings depth, versatility, and warmth to every stage.

Dr. Lee earned her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Chung-Ang University, where she graduated with top performance honors and received multiple scholarships during her studies. She continued her graduate education at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, earning both her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees under the guidance of Min Kwon, William Wolfram, and Daniel Epstein.

Throughout her career, Dr. Lee has performed in renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Chopin Hall, International Arts Hall, and Biwon Hall. She has also been an active performer in churches, libraries, nursing homes, and community arts centers throughout the Greater New York and New Jersey area, bringing classical music to diverse audiences.

An avid collaborator, Dr. Lee is a founding member of Trio Fontēs, an active piano trio that continues to perform regularly in concert series, community venues, and special events. Her chamber music collaborations also include performances with Voce Con Trio and the Harlem Quartet. In addition, she has worked extensively as a collaborative pianist and accompanist with ensembles such as the Yun-Sei Chamber Choir, Philomusica Concert Choir, Adelphi Orchestra, and the Hub City Opera and Dance Company.

Her artistic achievements include winning the Grand Prize at the Korean Christian Association Piano Competition and participating in the Chamber Music Honors Competition at Rutgers University. She has also taken part in notable musical events such as Mendelssohn’s 200th birth-year celebration at New York University and the New York premieres of New Music by Five Georgian Composers.

Dr. Lee is currently on the faculty at the Lindeblad School of Music and is a certified Piano Marvel teacher. She is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Music Educators Association of New Jersey.

Through her work as a performer, collaborator, and educator, Dr. Lee continues to engage audiences and students with a deep commitment to musical artistry and excellence.
